The immortal of meluha is a very detailed and precisely written story. Each and every character has been beautifully created, portrayed and described. Be it Sati, the better half of Shiva. Or Veer Bhadra, Shiva’s close friend. Or be it the hooded Naga. The writing prints a detailed image of the characters in your mind.
This book wraps you in the plot and leaves you asking for more resulting in reading the second and the third book one after another, which most of us including me did.
The thing I love about this book is that the author hasn't made any character superior or inferior than others in terms of gender, regional background, age, country etc.
Lord Neelkanth gets in love with sati because of her bravery and attitude towards her dharma and not only because of her beauty as most people portrait. The Prime minister is also a female. It also reveals the scientific reasons behind the rituals or so called superstitions we Indians follow and have followed from centuries.
The most important thing is the moral this book gives.
"No person is evil, it's the ideology and belief"
"Access of anything turns it into evil"
"A persons own karma decides it's future"
The trilogy is worth a read. Will highly recommend you all to read this trilogy. Also a huge thanks to Sir Amish tripaathi for giving us such a beautiful image of Indian mythology.
