Robert Thompson

An interesting if not overdone concept, sadly ruined by the titular wife being such an unlikeable and unsympathetic character. Needless, empty, pseudo-provocative sex scenes tacked on 'just because', utterly moronic decisions and utterly reprehensible acts by the lead characters that seem like the writers really just wanted you to dislike everybody. Overall it's very bland and predictable, brings nothing new to the table and really had no reason for existing. Run-of-the-mill garbage by uninspired writers.

Extremely atmospheric and genuinely scary in places. A great, grounded horror that doesn't show too much and avoids the copious amounts of jumpscares done too much these days for cheap scares. Very well made with solid acting from the father and son leads.
