This is a white wash of what actually happened and it was very unsatisfactory storytelling. Just glosses over major components of this horrific crime. No self awareness on the mother Charity’s part, nor on the grandmother’s part. Paris RAPED his baby sister, and there was no mention of this. I was so mad after watching this, because it didn’t delve deeply into any of the components that created this tragedy. Charity’s drug addiction and relapse, her failure to get help for Paris sooner, her continued relationship with Paris, and allowing him to have contact with her youngest Phoenix. No cohesiveness to the story. Animating Paris’s artwork was just weird. I cannot say how much I hated this movie. Don’t watch it. Read about the case instead.
