Wonderful film, A24 kills it once more. Making a modern, sci-fi adventure, about a family working a laundromat is no easy task. The writing, direction, production, all worked off another, in a great way. The comedy mixed in well, with the emotional tone of the film. Action was well choreographed. This movie earned everything it set out for, by way of it's script, and direction. 9.5/10

Anybody giving this movie one star, is a smal part of why film is garbage today. I'm not saying this movie was perfect. A few of the minor acting roles did a sub-average job, those witch women were pretty vague/unnecessary, and it was ultimately, a slow burn, which can throw SOME people off. To give it a one however, ( or anything under a 3 frankly) is abhorrent. The movie was beautiful, stuck pretty well to the story's roots, and it took a unique turn towards the end. And ultimately, it was ENTERTAINING. Not some Marvel garbage or hasty rehash. 8.8: great film
