Seth Rogen has made some of my favorite comedies of all time and I felt like he took the mantle from Will Ferrell and ran with it for a good 6-8 years but ever since about the middle of the 2010’s decade he has gone super left and there’s always a tinge of hate and looking down on others in his comedy. The late, great Norm MacDonald once said that an audience will laugh at mean and cruel jokes as long as they feel like it’s a joke, once they get the sense from a comedian it’s personal or mean spirited just for the sake of it, that’s when you lose people. It had a few good jokes in it, but most of the sexual stuff was gratuitous and didn’t have any rhyme or reason, lot of it felt forced. Plot was hilariously bad. Still love his old stuff but the man hasn’t put out anything of note since around 2014-2015. Seth, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry to burst your bubble but I’m not a white supremacist, just someone who can see through your transparent attempt to belittle a beloved holiday and personally I don’t care for stale jokes that are reused numerous times.
The Night Before was far superior.
