I don't understand why a rich and wonderful drama like Mercy Street is not organized for more than 2 seasons. The excuse given is BS. The end of season just leaves the audience hanging, wanting more story. It's another show (like Sanditon) where the primary romance story line does not lead to a happy ending.

I love the story, the characters, and the actors. But I'm still gagging over the horrible ending to Season1 and the death of Theo James/Sydney starting Season 2. It ruined a beautiful love stories in the making. .My eager anticipation for a happy, romantic relationship for Charlotte in Season 2 was dashed again. I hate these non-endings. I'm still in love with Rose Williams and Charlotte and will continue to hope for a more satisfying Jane Austin type happy ending for her.
