They took what was a raunchy comedy franchise and turnt it into your every day run of the mill 10 year old girls fantasy of how highschool should be. They tried to make 90% of the character's female and got rid of everything that made it an American Pie film IE (Sex/Nudity/Comedy) and just spewed out a film with none of these and made a *romance* film instead. It is NOTHING and I mean nothing compared to what the *actual* American Pie films used to be. This film is just a cashgrab sold to you by abusing a beloved franchise. Stay as far away as possible if you are actually an American Pie fan. For the woman who might think im just having a dig at this film because it doesn't involve an all male cast Id like to point out that my issue wasn't with the casting but the actual story being absolutely god awful. I made this point above to address the wild accusations by Jennifer Robinson who has decided that the people reviewing this badly are sexist and couldn't handle the fact that it was a main cast of women instead of men. Id give zero stars if possible

I read a review stating that they needed the best warriors and still made them fight to death. Which clearly showed they didn't pay well enough attention to the film. The main villian has infiltrated the Southern Zhao state at its highest level and convinced the King of the south to allow him to make a competition to elect the next Great General of the Southern armies to lead a new great war between the Northern Yan and the Southern Zhao. The plot overall is decent but from what I gathered after viewing it's a film that could have been better but no film is perfect. Now in terms of acting its actually very good and is definitely one of the better Chinese films in that aspect. The action is very good and again it's far better than your general Chinese action film. Upon further digging the film is based on a Chinese video game and the reason for the *plot holes* is because its assumed you would have played the game to understand it better much like the World of Warcraft film - Warcraft. Overall its a good watch assuming you actually listen and read the story unlike Marcos Vazquez who apparently half watched the film.
