Silent Hill 3 has terrifying gameplay start to finish packed in together with a great story as it is the direct sequel to Silent Hill 1. Silent Hill 3 lives up to the greatness of Silent Hill 1 while expanding on the story and events perfectly. The protagonist in 3 is probably my favourite of Silent Hill's she's honest, down to earth and sassy. Saying she's bland would be the farthest from the truth and I wouldn't have it any other way. Players of the original Silent Hill will undoubtably notice tie ins with the first and second instalment which makes for some great throwback moments and nostalgia. Silent Hill 3 includes a ton of outfits and new content in their new game+ so this game has great replay value. I cannot recommend this game enough if you're survival horror fan or just getting into the genre you should not miss out on buying Silent Hill 3.
