The only thing good about this movie was the trailer.

Spoilers*** Reese did a great job, but the storyline was awful. Reese’s character, Dani 14 falls in love with this guy, Court 17. They would spend a lot of time together and he would constantly string her along. The age difference is a big deal to him and he calls her a “kid”(which ends up being ironic towards the end of the story.). Court decided to come by Dani’s house to hang out with her and that is where he meets Maureen, Dani’s sister who is about to go away to college. ANYWAYS, this girl got to know Court for 3 days time frame maybe and falls in love with him. Then right after Maureen and Court “does the deed” he falls of his tractor and dies. I did not feel sorry for him at all. As soon as this “little boy”, Court comes into the picture tragedy was constantly striking this family. After the funeral Dani is mad at Maureen for falling in love with him too. Their dad had the AUDACITY to tell Dani, your sister may be hurting MORE than you so you should get over the fact that you liked him and go make amends with your sister. I was like nope that is not what she should do at all but here is Dani comforting Maureen. Dani deserved better and it’s sad that during most parts of the story she ended up having to be the adult in every situation.
