I am so disappointed. I have read every Reacher book multiple times. Got this one as a Christmas gift and dove right in, only to be let down almost immediately. Sharing the authorship was a bad decision. The tone and flavor of the series are gone. The plot was simultaneously boring and confusing, because none of the characters were well-developed. I couldn’t remember who was who because I just didn’t care. And someone - don’t know if it was the new author or the publisher - decided short sentences (2-4 words max) are the best thing since sliced bread and stuck clusters of them them on nearly every page. Once or twice for emphasis is fine. But this was just annoying. I’m so sad. I want the old Reacher back.
