Jack Nicholson in Stanley Kubrick's film, "The Shining" plays Jack Torrance, a writer, and a recovering alcoholic who gets an opportunity to take a job to watch The Overlook Hotel during one of the worst blizzards of the winter in the Colorado Rockies. Once the family arrives at the hotel, things are normal, and then everything takes a turn for the worse. Jack's son, Danny has psychic abilities and begins to see disturbing things. Soon after, Jack finds himself at the ballroom bar talking to a bartender, when the hotel is empty other than Jack, Danny, and Wendy, Jack's wife. This is the point where Jack becomes possessed by an evil entity that takes over his body. Jack morphs into a man whom he does not know, he becomes a monster. He grows angry, and resentful of his wife and child. At this point, Jack Torrance is possessed. The film proceeds with grueling horror and psychological terror. This film is one of the best horror films of all time because of the storyline, which catapulted psycho killers as everyday normal men, and the psychological terror as well as the camera effects and lighting. This film overall is an A-List film with a ton of terrifying images, graphic pictures, language, and horrifying discoveries.
