Such cringe comedy and story line. Barely watched for 40 mins. Nothing funny. Boring and repetitive. Nothing to miss.

A decent film if you forward all the unnecessary songs and fight scenes. Tamil cinema is getting too comfortable portraying rapes in its recent movies. It is quite concerning to see this shift. Because people get influenced even if they don't get sensitised. Using violence + sex via item numbers is how Indian cinema (especially tamil) have been wooing in audience. Rape portrayals should not be normalised with the intention to replace the two, keeping it just for the shock quotient and voyeurism. Education scam is a good subject, but unnecessary big faces make the story dummy. If the story was the king it could've been carried well, even by lesser known artists. Here is where I feel the star power of the cast is a let down. Too many lights blind your eyes. When you bring in rajini you have to portray his larger than life image with unrealistic fights and screen presence. Scenes where rajini drags rana is an insult to one's intelligencegiven the sheer physical difference between the two. AB is shown more relatable than rajini or even rana for that matter. Fafa as a witty thief is kind of a relief. He manages to entertain without overdoing it. It took a long time to establish the real villainof the story. As a result rana has very little screen time. No character depth, as we know nothing about him. We only know about the victim of wrong encounter. The only character whose story is central and relevant. They should have focused on realistically dealing with the instances of education scams instead of focusing on thalaivars not so stylish walk and shades flipping. So tired of rajini's mannerisms and movies that are made keeping his star power in mind. Also the well-trodden trope of bad rich/good poor. Movies like these also scam people by selling them false hopes. Giving them a momentary high thinking even they could beat up corporate mafias with ease. Same old. Just a star studded package.

A meh first half, but a wholesome fulfilling second half. A comedy movie with a social message. Surprisingly both the leads emoted well. Needless to say, late vivek sir was also in his element playing this matured role. Need more movies like this normalising taboo topics. Remarriage, adoption and donation. Loved it overall. A worthy watch played on the right emotional chords.

A fun light watch. Made it interesting even for a non cricket fan. However the casting was a little off. The lead lady's mother looked closer in age and better looking too. Upon Google search I found not much age gap between the one playing hero- his father in law, the heroine- and her mother. It was somewhat believable in the case of the men, but in women it felt mismatched . The subtle induction of caste politics in games as well as inter caste marriages is typical of tamil cinema. Would've been better if they found a well suited artist to play a hero from oppressed background. Though HK is good looking and they've tried to darken him, he and Ashok selvan are obviously city boys who are suited better for elite roles. Regardless all the artists performed well including hk. Though he and the ladies felt a little mismatched given the societal background they wished to show, their performance compensated. Apart from the social commentary this movie was on, the sports commentary was hilarious and overall the movie was engaging and entertaining.

A kind of good movie. Only because of the sacrifice of karunas. The whole story gets uplifted because of that one scene. Otherwise a basic story with a tedious screenplay. Gets one impatient to know what is the point of it. It ends up preaching that "a man is defined by his service" Be it the actual old man who died or karunas who sacrificed, they both became equal by how they lived selflessly- in life and in death. Can appreciate the portrayal of chance events that can turn one's life upside down.

A pertinent movie to be watched by all, especially girls and women. It's a shame that it is not widely and freely available in OTTs. Nothing has changed much for Iran. Wish Persia regains its old charm and grandeur. Extremism is the normal for some people. Hope the world wakes up to it. Need to show this and few other movies in schools for girls. If you have observed this religion up close you can vouch for the restrictions and lack of human and women rights in it. Authentically shown.

A well made movie with a good plot twist. Every artist played their part so well. Special mention to the trans judge, appreciable performance. The queer and trans community can be a talented lot. Wish to see more of their respectable representation in cinemas. As always S.P wins with her uber natural performance. The victim's dad also emulated well his agony, as a dad and as a man. The story in itself departs from the expectations. It reveals that "You cannot be so sure who the innocent is". Appearances can deceive. The lead taking a moral stand despite her personal loss is a powerful move. In a country ridden with nepotism and people supporting their near and dear ones even if they be criminals, the lead's predicament as a woman and as a daughter is put to test. She lets the womanity in her to trump over her filial sentiments. Happy to see such good movies in Tamil industry. Also naming the lead, and incidentally the movie after the first woman scholar in the history of India "Gargi" is an ode to our culture. No major cons. Though dealing with a sensitive subject, the movie the narration felt very fluid and light. They could've dwelled on how the family recovered from such a societal image dent? How the lawyer felt losing (or letting go) of his first case, which he was on the throes of possibly winning? Nevertheless a good watch!

One of my few Indian series watches. Well written, edited and narrated. It was slightly tough to keep in mind the stock market terms, despite them not delving much into technicalities. Which only leaves one to imagination as to how mind boggling the actual scam and its technicalities could have been. Pros - great artist selection, almost all of the cast for important characters resemble their real counterparts. My favourites being the laid-back RBI governor. Love the artist's voice. The journalist sucheta dalal, harshad's brother and rahil's wife. Cool bgm . Awesome editing. They made the best use of the bgm to create powerful & artistic intros which weave so well into the narration by setting the episode. Kudos to the editor . Realistic portrayal. Showing the flaws in the lead's way of thinking. On one hand you empathise with him for being cornered by other previous players. On the other hand you also see how the person doesn't see the problem in his ways, because it was the set practice of the trade and he just happened to expand on it albeit too quickly. Cons - very few and simple to matter... The Tamil characters didn't do justice. Though It was expected in a Hindi series. The few words of Tamil exchanged between the CBI officer and the SBI employee lacked the native touch and was uttered without proper knowledge. Likely they used Google translate instead of asking a proper tamilian, on what should be said. The temple trip was also not a proper portrayal of tamil temple or its culture. It was "North washed" for the Hindi audience and how they'd like to see the south. They tried their level best to give the 90s feel. In some places some modernity seeped in. I found this series engaging and entertaining. I wish they delved deeper into stock terms. Would've learned a lot.

An alright watch. Typical romantic story. Where a Romeo finds the woman, whose love could tame him! Predictable. The comic co worker had no real role. The movie otherwise is a battered romantic script with nothing comical.
