So to understand the film you need to focus and pay attention to character details in this film. Each character seems to struggling to understand what is most important to them and what is best for everybody . It’s possible the first time you watch this movie you might miss a lot of meaning if you are nail biting waiting for those scenes that are action packed and thrilling. This one requires you to know the back story . So if you haven’t watched the other ones you need to . Overall this is a very good sequel that pays homage to the older movies and leaves us wanting more . I expected to see Caesar son in this film. Instead I got descendants in clans and multiple leaders generations later . This is a whole new world . Noah ( interesting namesake ) is son of a the leader of the peaceable eagle clan . He has a lot of skill and little understanding about anything in the past because it’s been kept from him. He lacks self confidence but is courageous. This dynamic keeps you invested in the film to the end because you do not know how or when this Monkey is going to get it but you think he can . Along the way you realize it not just about him but an evolved species that has inherent strengths and weaknesses and is becoming more human than we can imagine . I love the ingenuity that is shown regarding the connection that must be established with nature to ensure survival of any kind . The importance of an Eagle egg hunt in the beginning becomes apparent as you realize communicating with the Eagles is the heart of Noah’s clan core belief system and essential to their survival . The entire process is very intricately woven into the story line being symbolic of the fragility of life , opportunity and purpose that can be destroyed at anytime by distraction ,mishandling and interaction with oppositional forces . May the smart human that is unlike the echo (cave people ) is like a mole . She starts off a pest and then a pet until she turns out to be a partner with a hidden agenda . Her role is excellent at doing what humans do best in this line of films knock others down to climb to the top. This film almost makes you pick a side . Well, Im only human . The next movie will probably be inclusive of space and aeronautical things considering in this film humans want their satellites back and Noah found a super huge telescope . Definitely worth watching but you need to watch it twice .
