Beyond far-fetched: a supposedly savvy, switched-on woman dissolves into an indecisive, one-dimensional drippy victim with no self-belief, subjected to a ridiculous and unbelievable series of events. The men are also wooden caricatures. I persisted because I'd got so far. A sun-bed read at a stretch if you plan to leave your brain and rational thought at home. Baffling turn of style for Adele Parks.
