The part played by the grieving father agrees. They leave Land’s End for John O’Groats Scotland, as “far as possible.” Timothy Spall’s performance is nothing short than remarkable as he turns himself from an old man into a very old man before our eyes. We need more movies like “The Last Bus” if for no other reason than to keep us away from the technology-filled world and to remind us of our shared humanity.
