I love the theatre and I was extremely excited and intrigued to view the adaptation of this play. I have been reading criticism online about this "movie" not being a good adaptation of the play rather it felt like watching a theatre on the screen. That is exactly what I loved about this American Son adaptation. I sincerely hope that an executive from Netflix will read this commentary of mine and adapt more theatrical drama plays of this kind for the screen. It was a real intense screening. It does take away from sitting front row in a theatre taking up all the anxiety of the experience. For those that cant visit the theatre this is the next best week. Thank you Netflix for A.
