Jackie Kavinda

Peter Jackson knows how to really balance action with drama and emotion. It's got a slow beginning which is necessary; it prepares everything for what's coming, and a great ride with lot of action and at the core of it all; the emotion. I haven't seen any other director who balances it so good. And of course the vfx and motion capture, with Andy Serkis's brilliance, it really makes this giant CGI wild beast so real and believable.

if anyone calls this "boring", the movie totally went over their heads. it isn't just about the story. it's not about intense drama, exciting plot twists or keeping you on the edge of the seat, which are typically what certain people might look for in every damn movie. relax, sit back, this is simple. it's just being in the moment, seeing beyond what the picture shows, dive deeper into the elements, feel. it's very... human. the story is secondary, which neatly flows with it, but it's not the point of the movie
