This movie ruined the Bible story of Ruth. Honestly it’s the most cringey movie especially when Boaz starts kicking things when Ruth says she is leaving not to mention the most awkward singing scenes! The plot is so unrealistic, unrelatable and not similar to the biblical story at all. There’s themes that aren’t aligned with Christian values at all like prosperity on earth, scantily clad dressing of the characters, that marriage or relationships will solve all your problems and that money is security. Like who wrote the script to this? It obviously wasn’t a Christian and they obviously haven’t read the book of Ruth. It’s not even the story of Ruth at all apart from the names. Don’t waste your time, this was a major disappointment.

Beautiful costumes, set and theme. But probably the most boring and ridiculous movie plot I ever seen. Like it’s just a bunch of talking and nothing really happening. People seem to just have a bunch of mental breakdowns and go on long monologues about their lives.
