I saw Season One of this series and was blown away by it's oddball brilliance. (The entire cast is wonderful, but Ginnifer Goodwin is the standout, and Alicia Coppola and Lucy Lieu are also amazing). So I was very excited for Season Two, but what a letdown. This season eschews character development for superficial cleverness; the main character is someone we care about in the beginning, but she pretty quickly turns into a caricature. Season One was very stylized and engaged in a kind of fun black comedy hyper-reality, but it had a lot of heart; Season Two is too clever for its own good, and completely devoid of heart. I see now why it didn't go into season three which, considering the talent evidenced in a first season, is really a shame.
