I’ve read all of Daniel Silva’s books. I’m sorry to say that for the first time my anticipation turned to disappointment with this one. The characters as always are fully realized and warmly drawn. The plot sounds thrilling and full of opportunities for action. Instead, Mr. Silva seems to focus on the animosity of the Roman Catholic Church towards Jews. He lectures to his readers at the expense of his story. I hope he is back to his usual excellence in his future books.
