As a RN of 43 years , newly retired , I must give highest praise for this book . Flight of a Wild Swan by Melissa Pritchard.
The book , for me , started slowly through the back ground story of Florence Nightingale’s childhood and young adulthood. As the story entered her experience of bedside nursing and hospital administration during the Crimean War it truly came alive and I found myself barely able to lay it down. It is surely an inspired account , as close as fiction can come , to what happens when one gives in to following God’s direction for one’s life. It brought back to me the memories of my life’s career of nursing and a gratitude to such an amazing soul as Florence Nightingale . Thank you Melissa Pritchard . I am ordering my own copy and will share with friends .
