Grown Ups 2 doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not — and that’s kind of the charm. It’s unserious, nostalgic in a weird way, and the definition of a “popcorn movie.” You’re not getting the comedy of the year here, but you’ll probably smile more than you expect. Adam Sandler and the crew do their thing, and while it’s not groundbreaking, it’s a do-nothing kind of movie that just feels easy to watch. It’s the kind of film that makes your popcorn taste better — sometimes that’s all you need.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is a thrill ride from start to finish. The action is relentless, the stunts are jaw-dropping, and the set designs are crafted with real care. You can tell the cast and crew poured their hearts into this and it feels like the first block buster movie in a while. Absolutely worth watching in the theaters.

At first, I was unsure about the Western setting — it felt like a big departure from the tone of the first two. But it works. Surprisingly well. Just like the original tapped into ’50s nostalgia, this one does the same for the Old West, and it fits beautifully. The characters still feel true to themselves, the story wraps up in a satisfying way, and it manages to balance fun, heart, and closure. I actually preferred this one over Part II. A great way to end a truly iconic trilogy.

A strong sequel, though not quite on the same level as the original. The characters stay consistent and engaging, but the plot does feel a bit weaker. The constant timeline shifts get a little chaotic, and at times it’s hard to stay fully immersed. The trailer for Part III at the end was an odd touch — a little jarring, honestly — but doesn’t take too much away from the film overall. It’s still a very good movie, and even as my least favorite of the trilogy, it’s better than most films that come out today.

I went in worried that the hype wouldn’t hold up — I was completely wrong. This is hands down one of the best films I’ve ever seen. It earns every bit of its iconic status. The characters are sharp, creative, and incredibly engaging. Yes, the plot has a few strange elements for a “family” movie, but it’s easy to look past. Marty is relatable yet layered, and watching him interact with the past is a joy. The film’s 1950s nostalgia was clever in the ’80s, and it still resonates today. A true classic.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is fun, colorful, and engaging — especially for younger kids. That said, it doesn’t quite live up to the charm and creativity of the first movie. This sequel feels more tailored to a younger audience, with some characters (including Flint) becoming more annoying than endearing. His growth from the first film feels undone, almost like he reset to square one — or worse. The villain is weak, the motivations are thin, and while the visuals are still great, the story just doesn’t hit the same. It’s not a bad movie, but older kids and adults will have a harder time finding something to truly enjoy.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a weirdly uplifting and surprisingly inspirational movie — not just for kids, but for adults too. It jumps right in and doesn’t slow down for its entire 90-minute runtime. The pace keeps things engaging, and most of the characters are likable (with a few more annoying ones easy to overlook). Visually, it’s stunning — artistic, colorful, and wildly creative. The core idea is fresh and totally unique. You won’t find yourself bored with this one. A great watch when you want something fun, fast, and imaginative.

Die Hard is a great action film for its time — solid storytelling, intense sequences, and a classic, gritty protagonist. It’s well-paced and genuinely engaging. My first watch left me a bit underwhelmed, mostly because of the massive hype surrounding it. But on the second watch, knowing what to expect, I really enjoyed it. What stood out to me was that the main character never feels invincible. He gets hurt, he has to think on his feet, and that grounded approach to the action makes it more impactful. It’s a standout element, especially for the era. Definitely worth watching — just don’t let the hype do the watching for you.

The Corpse Bride is classic Tim Burton — beautifully animated and beautifully told. The voice acting fits each character perfectly, and the entire film has a charming yet eerie elegance to it. It handles darker themes and horror elements with care — never over the top or crude, just enough to keep you engaged. It’s definitely a bit scary for younger kids and feels more suited to mature audiences, but it balances tone and emotion really well. I’d say it’s darker than The Nightmare Before Christmas, but not quite as heavy as Frankenweenie. A great film all around.

I’m conflicted about this movie — not because of the filmmaking, which is exceptional, but because of how it’s often received. As a film, The Wolf of Wall Street is sharp, fast-paced, and completely engrossing. It lays everything bare — the rise, the fall, the chaos, the corruption — without flinching. The acting is phenomenal across the board; every performance is fully believable and magnetic. My struggle is with how the film is interpreted by some viewers. Too often, it feels like the recklessness and excess are celebrated rather than critiqued. That’s not the movie’s fault, but it does color how I feel about the cultural impact. Still, judged on its own merits, this is a must-watch — bold, relentless, and brilliantly executed. Just know what you’re getting into.
