It was a lighthearted comedy and it really does deserve some more attention. It’s got an almost nostalgic sense about the whole thing and it was very engaging from start to finish. The acting was incredible which was a shock because I didn’t think this kind of movie required it but given the start power, not really a surprise. Not 5 stars because while it had some funny moments, I would say it’s more entertaining than straight comedy.

Overall it’s an entertaining watch if you’re bored. I’ll give the movie credit for being creative and stylish in its presentation. The actors are all great in their roles (my favorite was the detective). The characters are interesting but one dimensional and I found the plot to be a bit bizarre. And not bizarre in the “Oh wow didn’t expect that” but more “Oh really that’s what they’re going to do now”. Don’t give the movie more credit than it’s worth but if you go in with low expectations you’ll be pleased at the conclusion.

Too generic, not enough good moments to balance the crazy antics. Overall not worth the 90 minutes unless you’re really bored or hungover.

Found myself wondering where the scary bits were. Also found the memory loss and death fake out unbelievably irritating. Should’ve went more in the direction of Insidious 3.

Honestly just a guilty pleasure but it’s my favorite.

The characters were so underdeveloped and I couldn’t get attached to any of them. The movie was confusing and I honestly didn’t know it is was supposed to be serious or funny. To make matters worse, nothing is explained at the end and you’re left feeling unsatisfied.

Just a fun easy movie to enjoy during the Halloween season.

Absolutely love this movie. Great comedy and great action. Might go watch it for the third time next week.
