I can’t decide whether Across the Spider-Verse is better than the original or not, but it was damn good. It’s by far the best movie of 2023 so far (sorry John Wick 4), and is incredibly artistic. It really dials the creativity from the original up to eleven in this film, and although I was worried that the villain would be kind of stupid, he was not. The villain; Spot, was one of the beat parts of the movie, and I loved any scene that he was in. Overall, if you like Spider-Man, you’ll like this movie. 100% recommend.

It’s honestly criminal how underrated this movie is. People saying that there are too many villains are insane considering there were only two (rhino doesn’t count), and No Way Home was extremely popular and that movie had the most villains out of any Spider-Man movie. The writing in this movie is almost perfect and feels natural, and the way they connect certain points or conflicts that were presented at the beginning towards the end gives me chills. Gwen Stacy is also by far the best love interest out of them all, and Andrew’s performance as Spider-Man is epic. This movie was intriguing, awesome, and emotional all the way till the end. It pains me that this movie got so much hate.
