Most of the reviews are correct. I am a major sci fi fan and this is why I decided to watch this movie. It is a major waste of time. The plot makes no sense. The idea at first seemed that humans are essentially the aggressors and they should strike and annihilate an alien civilization first just in case and that this narrative will prove this to be incorrect and immoral, but the aliens turned out to be hostile, so the moral of the story does not make any sense (I guess it is a good thing to wipe out alien civilizations just in case?). On top of that, this whole thing was supposed to be in the future and there were some energy weapons, but most of the weapons are projectile weapons like ours or like modern guns. There was no explanation for the armored suits being used for travel instead of space ships. The characters were poorly developed. I felt no connection to anybody. The aliens resembled aliens from other movies and comic book characters, yet as advanced as they were supposed to be, they apparently die very quickly from pistol caliber bullets. The entire time you are wondering where the characters are or why they are even there. The end of the movie made no sense whatsoever. I have seen some pretty bad science fiction, but this one takes the cake. This was only made because Bruce Willis decided to participate. A large part of the movie involved people talking and having stupid conversations. I feel that I am owed something for the time I spent to watch this movie. It is like I have been robbed. The movie studio owes me some compensation for wasting my time.
