A dramedy set in one of the last remaining areas of forested land in southern England, the Forest of Dean, the setting fits the struggle to remain true to self, at each stage or age. The characters and interplay of ideas are fabulous.

Loved the layers of reality being scratched, eg all vibranium accounted for in Wakanda - not so! Sophisticated underwater kingdom - what, where? But I was surprised that Wakandans speak Mayan. (Or do they have tech that enables them to learn languages quickly). Mayan civilisations had crumbled before the Spanish arrived, although Mayan peoples continued. But the engineering capability, civic and religious drive to build temples and cities - architectural marvels - was lost.

Brilliantly animated. Elements of Mad Max, interesting characters and plot twists and just some incredible giant gladiator-style fight scenes. More depth to this animated series than the movie, with a hint at hidden powers vying for supremacy or balance.

So, Australia may be behind the times with the "Timeless" TV show. WOW. It is easily one of the best TV series I've seen. It's fascinating to think how we are where we are today because of specific people and moments in time. Where would we be today if individuals hadn't acted at those specific moments? "Timeless" explores the paradoxes in an entertaining, illuminated way. Also along for the ride in a race against time - to save history in a time machine - are an awesome villain and lead characters. Costumes, period details and feel make you feel like you're watching history unfold. Simply brilliant.
