First review of a movie ever and I’m going to be totally honest here. Negative: This movie is made solely for fans of the game series. I expected a lot and took my girl and son who are not fans of the series and they gave it a 3/10. I gave it the same. Story was rushed, felt the horror was rushed and I don’t think anyone who isn’t a fan of the game would care for this movie. It was almost TO loyal to the game to the point of dragging others to see it with you is not as enjoyable. Positive: WHAT A TRIBUTE TO THE FANS! From the staircases, the statue in the police station, the sounds of the main characters moving along the buildings and even what they say ALL are identical to game. This is a tribute to the 1st and 2nd resident evil. The first kill of a monster moves identical to the game, that was awesome. The helicopter crash was so cool. The way the ground monster moved reminded me just how much I hated those things! Lol. I loved the way the armory was laid out and the piano puzzle was an awesome little tribute. Again. People that aren’t fans of the series wouldn’t have gotten that. The last 10 minutes are awesome for so many reasons. IN A NUTSHELL: slow start, last 10 Minutes are all worth it. If you’re not a gamer, skip this movie, if you’re a fan of this series and have been all along, it’s a must see. I hope to God there are sequels for games…… 3-4: which looks very possible by the ending 5-6: 7-8 as the 4th sequel: This is what we are ALL waiting for. Would most likely have to be split up between 2 movies though unless they made it a super long one.
