I watched this very fascinating movie today.
I was very surprised about the storyline.
I thoroughly was enthralled about how the various relationships would work out.
I was impressed about how adamant Brendan Frasier's character was about teaching people to be honest in their opinions and to be prepared to say why they felt the way they did. He gave honest feedback to his students and accepted his daughter's evaluation about him, as that was her honest feelings.
When he finally got to talk with his daughter...they both learned things about each other they realized were important to accept.
He helped his daughter refocus her disappointment in him and she helped him understand how hurt she was from his decision to separate from their family.
He even learned from his ex-wife how she truly felt about what happened when they split up, and how she reevaluated the reason.
The other characters, especially the nurse friend who had helped him throughout the years was the best thing that helped him.live as long as he did. She accepted him as he was and even when she found out something that temporarily caused her to storm out...she came back and let him know, she was still there for him.
This is definitely an excellent film that I will never forget.
