After all the hue and cry about Kalki, I happened to watch it on Netflix yesterday. No doubt Kalki is a cinematic marvel. Mr. Bachchan, Deepika Padukone Kamal Haasan all were great in the film. But couldn't agree more to what Arshad Warsi said that Prabhas's character was so badly written in first half that he actually looked like a clown performing the comedy. Felt sleepy and to force myself to finish through the first half.

Went to see this movie yesterday. And to be frank I really liked the movie for the way the story has been treated. Karan Johar, no matter how much the people may hate him but when it comes directing family dramas, he is one of the best. High points - The performances by the main leads as well as the ensemble cast was spot on. Ranveer Singh with his Delhi boy attitude was bang on. Aliya is just lit. The actors who played Aliya's parents were just so awesome. But above all, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi were the soul of the movie. Their chemistry was so pure and soulful. Another thing I liked about the movie was the set and its grandeur. Specially the Durga Puja song sequence. I must say the creative designers have done a wonderful job. I really liked the incorporation of old hindi songs with scenes but original album was a big let down.
