I don’t usually write movie reviews because I believe everyone has their own preferences when it comes to content and style. However, this time, my mum urged me to do so. She was shocked and bewildered by the overwhelmingly negative comments about the film. Both of us watched it on the second day of Chinese New Year and had a great time. We found ourselves laughing at many of the scenes, and it was a refreshing experience that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. In fact, after the movie, I was sharing the hilarious moments with friends and colleagues. I was completely taken aback by the negative feedback. The Yishun 10 cinema where we watched it was packed, and I witnessed the audience laughing and enjoying themselves throughout the film. As we exited, people were happily sharing their positive thoughts about the movie. I couldn’t help but wonder if those leaving negative reviews and warning others not to watch were just keyboard warriors. Did they actually watch the film, or were they simply jumping on the bandwagon? Hmmm…
