Brings the disintegration of society into sharp focus and fully illustrates the dilemma facing law enforcement in a world of political correctness and legal liability. Great characterisation by the entire cast, special mention of Martin Freeman's Chris Carson, and with superb camera work depicting Liverpool's seedier side beautifully. Hard edged but fully recommended.
