Jigarthanda Double X is an absolute MASTERPIECE, boasting a brilliant story and a marvellous screenplay by one of my favourite directors, Karthik Subbaraj. Raghava Lawrence delivers his best performance in a long time, and SJ Suryah, the ever-reliable Nadippu Arakkan, shines with top-notch acting as always. Karthik Subbaraj's incorporation of real-life incidents, like betrayals and backstabbing towards Tamil community, is incredibly clever. Those familiar with Tamil Nadu politics will easily grasp the director's underlying themes, making it a compelling watch. Even for those unfamiliar with Tamil Nadu politics, this movie is a fantastic choice for a family viewing during this Deepavali week. Subbaraj skillfully keeps the audience engaged throughout; every scene feels unmissable. The emotional impact of the last 40 minutes left me in tears, forging a deep connection with the film. SaNa's profound understanding of the audience pulse is evident in how his songs and background score elevate the film's impact, truly boosting its overall essence. Cinematographer Tirru's work is truly indescribable, creating stunning visuals that are undeniably beautiful, showcasing his strength in the field for over two decades. Editor Shafique Mohamed Ali's touch is pure magic and fire, evident in every film he edits, contributing to the creation of classic films with his exceptional editing skills. Nimisha's second Tamil movie performance radiates purity and power, while Sanchana's character leaves a profound impact in the film. The antagonist characters contribute hellishly intense and awe-inspiring performances, adding a remarkable dimension to the film. Immense respect to the Jigarthanda Double X team 😠This is a movie not to be missed in theaters.
