I thought they did a great job on this original movie; however, it gave me recurring nightmares for a long time. I grew out of those when another movie came out called "Them" about gigantic ants, which was also scary, especially when my big sister told me the news reel was about the ants coming to Brooklyn! That night I swore I heard the squealing noise (I think it was really garbage trucks) and wouldn't let go of her arm....! Takes your mind away from all the shootings and robberies in the real world.
