Jennifer Cane

I haven't read the book but was very disappointed in the last episode. It seems they built up this character and his back story just to dump him at the end, give another character all the power with no real backstory to support it. And yes, the boy kissing scene totally unnecessary, it didn't add to the story. Did someone else direct this last episode, someone with some kind of agenda? Very disappointed and doubt I would bother with the book.
