Gorgeous set design and beautiful cinematography but that’s it. The story sucks if there is even a story. And as a musical, the songs are dull and uninspired. In general, the movie Is a big nothing. And it commits the biggest crime of all… BORING!! 🥱

Self indulgent, boring, and look, I’m one of those guys who really like foreign films. I have no problem with slow pacing. But scenes go on and on and on forever and the director thinks this is really deep. But it’s not. You feel bad for Anora… she wanted to be Cinderella but the guy was a complete asshole creep. And you don’t feel sorry for him at all. I was waiting for a Hollywood ending but instead I got an undeserved tragedy

People are going gaga over this movie… But it just ain’t so. It’s certainly not a bad movie… But it’s not a great one. The third hour improves greatly. Nolan is not confident enough in his drama that he has to have the music blaring at all times. I probably missed 35% of the dialogue because the music was so incredibly overpowering. the thing is shot and cut like a TV movie not like a real movie. But I’ll give the movie a B-. Like I said it’s not bad but it’s certainly not incredibly engaging until we get close to the end. There’s one great moment which I’m not going to give away… But when the atomic bomb happens… They do something with the audio that’s absolutely brilliant. But that’s it. People think the movie is great because the subject material is so important… And after watching 14 Spider-Man movies this movie seems like a dream come true. When it comes to subject matter.
