If you are used to assassin creed games then this is nothing but a shameless cash grab from ubisoft. It is basically assassins creed 1.5 which has updated graphics compared to the original, but a sorry excuse of a plot and adds very little to the lore of the franchise that seems that it doesn't really know where to take the story which was promised so fervently in the first 2 original games.
I understand that they have gone back to basics and perhaps this is great for new generations of gamers, but seriously this is nothing new and the entire feel is basically a DLC that was packaged as a stand alone game.
Ubisoft have been brainwashed by money as this is their flagship brand, they simply don't care what we think as long as we all 'Keep buying product'
I for one will not be rushing to buy anything else as the last few games have been based more on buying DLC and action mash ups than what it initially sold to the world what it was going to be, the franchise has lost that, which made it stand out initially. Which was a great plot, a slow building story that had interconnected back stories laced within the main narrative which begged the gamer to keep searching and dig a little bit deeper. It had great introductions to various historic people/places that prompted people to want to learn more.
Assassins creed 2 is still by far the best game of the franchise (dated though it may be) the jewel in the crown and sadly it has steadily gone down hill from there.
AC Mirage shows just how far the plot has gone off course and how little the returning gamers are respected.
A short game, poor plot, glitch happy and basic with little to no replayable value for what the retail price suggests.
Ubisoft is no stranger to its cash grabs as this is par for course, but at least in the past the other titles have at least been worthwhile stand alone games (to varying forms of success) but this joke of a game is a slap in the face to most returning customers and will serve nothing more as another nail in the coffin of ubisoft.
This brand is now dead to me.
