Elliott Smiths Music can be described in two words, Timeless and perfect. This album in particular, is one of his greatest showcases of his true potential. Though he sadly passed away and left this as his last studio album, his legacy has been carried on. I started listening to Smith’s music when a friend recommended it to me. The first song I listened to was “Wouldn’t mama be proud” off of Figure 8.”. It was my favourite song for the longest time until I listened to his other albums and EPS such as XO, self-titled and either/or and realized this was the music made for me. His music has made an affect on me not even god could change. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest artists of all time. It’s a shame he didn’t get to show his true potential.
