In My Humble Opinion, this movie ranks right up there with All Quiet on the Western Front. It is a Great Movie by Wolfgang Peterson. It impacted me as hard as Dulce ET decorum est, by the great poet Wilfred Owen. It shows the utter inhumanity and futility of war. I only wish I had seen this in the early sixties before I went to fight in the "Police Action" in Vietnam.
