this movie is bit below my expectations. The first half is pretty good. But when they get to the factory it allgoes a bit down hill. . Wonka is a bit cringey but ok and the vibe is less whimsical than the book and 1971 version. Overall I prefer the 1971 version. HOWEVER as a stand alone movie, it is alright. If you laugh at the akwardness you are in for a funny movie. If you go in expecting it to be a more serious movie you are not going to have a good time.
