If you saw this movie in theaters back in 2012 and hated it, or if you’ve seen it just once and swore “I’m never seeing that again,”.... watch it again. Divorce yourself from the ‘Bourne’ title. I believe a lot of the hate was generated because the movie studios got greedy and shoehorned the “Bourne” name into the title in the hopes it would create more buzz, more money so they could make a deposit on a $20M mansion in the hills of Hollywood. But I digress... That “executive” move gave ‘Legacy’ expectations it could never reach. But watching it on its own merit, it’s a gripping movie with dare I say...best acting quality from any of the Bourne movies. Action doesn’t leap to ‘Supremacy’ or ‘Ultimatum’ levels. But Edward Norton, Rachel Weisz were amazing and sold their characters brilliantly. Jeremy Renner also did a solid job and acquitted himself well.
