The script was superb and the acting compulsive. However the story was the overall star and a very worrying indicator as to how democracy can be, and is being, manipulated. I have little doubt that "Take back Control" uncovered and empowered a significent proportion of the 17m voters who voted for Brexit, but must democracies around the world now need to bring compulsory voting for all eligible voters, to minimise the influence of social media manipulation? The spectre that wealthy funders may now have the capacity, through targeted social media, to 'direct' a diverse, but broadly informed, democratic population is the stuff of sci-fi fiction. In this drama, it looked closer to reality TV, than science fiction.
