I have to agree with another reviewer, Brittany.
I enjoy the TV series tho, it's is different than the books, but hey... I'm a glutton.
Go Tell the Bee's I am Gone title. First, DG seems to write into the books a contemplative moment by Claire that rounds out the title. No more internal thoughts by Claire, like Dragon Fly in Amber references.
DG's writing style was so totally different than previous books, I wondered throughout the read if she farmed the writing off to a family member.
How is it that it takes days to get out of their mountain oasis, but someone can travel to NY and back from NC AND accomplish all these other things in a few weeks?
And really, there is a war on, no one is safe. I can't imagine hiring a carriage to haul a single female through a war zone ... helloooo.
Speaking of, I read the books to read about Claire and her relationships and experiences with her friends and family. Jamie's extremely stupid son that everyone seems to think the world of. He's an idiot and I can honestly say that when the chapter is about him, I skip.. a LOT!
Then there is the whole troop that shows up at the ridge, Jamie and Claire don't want to leave for fear they'll come back and burn down the house (or whatever they had in mind). Yet, off they go without a care to a battle and the whole Brittish troop just disappear, never to return.
And sadly, this book ended on a cliff hanger note and "the Bee's" was so horrid, not sure I care to even know what happens next.
