A highly recommended film. Visually stunning with great use of music and archive footage to bring the politics and racial injustice of 1960s America in full view. The use of point of view camera work keeps your interest throughout and moves the story of Elwood and Turner along really well. Superb acting from the two lead males and also a devastatingly emotional part from the wonderful Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as Elwood’s grandmother. Superb director and film maker RaMell Ross should have won an Oscar for this beautiful, distressing film.
