Starting with a powerful arena anthem, Chokehold, Sleep Token's opening track erupts with delicious power and beautiful melodies that feel dark and sinister, yet inviting and linger long after concluding. Following that up The Summoning is the powerhouse that showcases the band's adept musicianship with calculated and original genre switches from start to finish. Tracks like Granite and Aqua Regia Ace their signature sound with Jazz, R&B influences and electronic samples. Vessel's voice is best on this record with tracks like Take Me Back to Eden, and Ascensionism. Closing out with the mesmerizing Euclid, this record has something any music enjoyer would appreciate and replay. To slap a genre on Sleep Token is a disservice to the band and does no justice to their endeavor here. Worship.
