This is such an amazing show! The characters are complex - their beliefs/preconceived notions are challenged. Like: what makes one a proper pirate? Can one be both a gentleman AND a pirate? There's adventure, romance, and separation of classes. We see gender dynamics, and how society limits choices by class and gender. There's great representation throughout the show: disabled characters, non-binary characters, different types of romance and sexuality including a polyamory. I can't say enough about this amazing show!
