Sorry, JK, but I’m more than halfway through this book and I’m bailing on you. No one loves a good, long book more than I do but this one has started to feel like homework. I’ve loved the previous 7 Cormoran Strike books but at this point I’ve lost interest (patience?) in his relationship with Robyn altogether. You really lost me with Plug’s dogfighting ring. That was gratuitous and unnecessary. Will I read Book 9 in the series? Oh, hell yeah, but I know you can do better.
