Never would I have thought that actually playing the game would make me dislike it. Back when it was first released, I watch a playthrough of it and thoroughly enjoyed the eerie atmosphere and amazing music. It wasn't until recently that the game was put on xbox game pass that I decided to download the game and play it myself, in hopes of reliving some of that sweet nostalgia that I remember so fondly of the game all those years ago...Only to be horribly let down by the game play. God, there wasn't a single moment of this game that I actually enjoyed playing through. The mechanics were clunky and hard to control which suck because some of the mini fights require such precision that it made me rage unlike any other game. You will die, over and over and over until all suspense or atmosphere is gone. You will slog through all of the levels just begging for them to end. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because the music is pretty fantastic, and when you're actually allowed to enjoy the atmosphere, it is pretty incredible too. But those moments are so few and far between that I honestly wished I had just rewatched a playthrough instead. Playing this game has honestly ruined the fond memories I had of it. Save your money, and watch it instead if you truly want to enjoy it. At least then you won't be the poor fool suffering through each level.
