Advertised as the most faithful adaptation of the book so far, the BBC's version left much to be desired.
By the end of the final episode I was feeling so disappointed I ended up searching YouTube for the stage version of Jeff Wayne's adaptation. At least that one has catchy tunes as it describes the downfall of humanity.
