I left an abusive marriage after about 20 years and this series did an amazing job portraying the complexities of getting out, getting sucked back in, and getting back out again (repeat ad infinitum). Leaving when no one else can see what is wrong is gut wrenching, but everything changes when you see that kids are affected. This series hit the nail on the head and I hope everyone can watch it to gain an insight into the monstrosity of domestic violence.
