I really really wanted to like it. But alas, Rebel Moon has the emotional depth and character development of a Hinge profile. Absolutely stunning eye candy action sequences that haven't earned your emotional investment. Intriguing character concepts that are left as unfulfilling caricatures of the story you were hoping for. Will watch Part 2 for the bazillion dollar special effects spectacle with much more realistic expectations.
