Mulan might have been good if it did not have that Disney remake "charm" to it. If they were going to remake this movie they could have at least kept the same vibe of the animated film. The original "Mulan's" appeal is drawn from her interactions with the cast around her. In contrast to the remake, which forces sympathy on the audience purely based on the tragedy around her.
